I don’t love everything about New York City, but what I do love has kept me here for almost 40 years.
It was a place where you could disappear while you figured things out.
I love the diversity and how we all live here together, with good days and bad days, like some giant dysfunctional family.
I am lucky to have lived here in the magical, nutty old days, before it all got so bourgeois.
